MY JOURNEY TO THE BAR( PART 2)

@LL.B 👑🥂

MY JOURNEY TO THE BAR (PART 2)

So that’s how I found myself in this journey.

I had to start 100 level again, do I have regrets? On days when things were not going my way I did but on days when things were not I didn’t have much regrets. But in everything I was really excited and grateful to start this new academic journey.

The journey was not so smooth. Ah, I have cried, laughed, shouted, cursed, complained, Packed my bags to go home😂😂( in my third year, then it was not funny) I remember my mum calling me and telling me “you can do it".

In everything this journey that started in 2017 brought me closer to God.One of my testimonies. I figured out I couldn’t do it on my own and MY DADDY stretched forth his hands telling me I got you GIRL.And He sure proved his word.

All the midnight studies, early morning classes, running to classes, struggling for seats 😂😢(this one is story for another day)etc

With tears in my eyes all I can say now is a part of that journey has come to an end.

I lost my grandma in 2018 then I had just gotten into 2nd year I remember her telling me some things about the Nigerian civil war😢 when I was preparing to write both jamb and Aptitude tests. She took her time telling me some events that took place(the ones she could remember) in case any question about the civil war comes out😢, she was sitting at the end corner of the bed that very day swinging her legs as she narrated her story(And I am so grateful she was alive to see me wear white and black as a law student.)

I am writing this today after writing my final papers as a Law undergraduate😎.I have alot to say, I have alot to tell. I didn’t start and finish this journey alone. I had people who supported and held my hands. To My mum who will always provide a handkerchief to wipe my tears and tell me it will soon be over.My mum would always waybill foodstuffs and provisions for me😊😎she always emphasised that a healthy stomach is a healthy brain (I love food a lot 🤗,one of the ways to my own heart is food ohh)Thank you ma. God bless you. My dad who supported me financially, prayerfully and all round;ah this final year wasn’t easy but I thank God everyday for my dad. And my brothers who literally have started telling everyone to get ready😂😂 because their sister is coming…AND FOR REAL I AM COMING😎 Thank you so much for pushing me to my best. And to everyone who had dropped a word of encouragement, prayers.

Thank you all🙏

A journey that started in 2017, a course of 5years encroached to 6yrs(2023).Coupled with covid and strike,it was not funny 😥.

Officially half of that journey has come to an end. At this point I will say over to the next.

🌹And to that person out there who feels tired and stuck. Is okay alright, this process have taught me some few lessons and they include:

  1. Surround yourself with people who are a ready to push you to your best even if it is only one. Surround yourself with that one.
  2. Giving up is not an option please don’t give up and if there’s no one to motivate or encourage you.KINDLY DRINK A CUP FULL OF MOTIVATION? How? What and Who inspired you to start that journey in the first place? Has it been achieved? If not then please don’t stop.
  3. Is okay if you don’t get it the first time and second even the third. Don’t get frustrated or discouraged. Keep pushing,is okay to try other means to achieve your dreams and desire. And in due time you will be celebrated
  4. Everyone has something special to offer, you are amazing just the way you are.
  5. Eat when it is time. Rest when it is time. Take care of you, yourself and your body.
  6. Be consistent;Study yourself to know the study plan that works for you and create it.
  7. Be Grateful always.
  8. Don’t compare yourself with another you are running a different race.
  9. Be positive in all you do. In your speaking and action, don’t let negativity Lord over you. I CAN DO IT,I WILL DO IT.
  10. Age is not and should never be a limitation. You are never too old or too young to start up that program,go back to school, sign up for that class or anything you want to do.Stop looking at your age.
  11. Stop timing yourself please🙏if you couldn’t meet up with that deadline because of one circumstances or the other then you have the discretion to set it again. No pressure
  12. IN EVERTHING TRUST GOD AND THE PROCESS. “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME"

🌹YOU ARE SPECIAL!!

🌹YOU DESERVE AND

🌹WILL GET THE VERY BEST.

This is me raising a glass to celebrate Chyamakamike- (Igbo born- Nigerian beauty, yeah you heard right THAT’S ME😎🥂🤗) . Thank you girl for not giving up, for wiping your tears and still continuing the journey, for loving yourself wholly. For not getting discouraged. Thank you so much; you are the best, you deserve and you will always get the very best.

Today being the 19th of May my white shirt is adorned with pens and markers(a tradition for final year students in almost every university in Nigeria where other students, and well wishers use a coloured pen or marker to write on the white shirt of final year student).

Thank you Lord🙏🙏

This girl is grateful.
